New Music From The Whigs | “In The Dark”
Oh man, The Whigs are prepping a new album. It’s not yet 2010 but we’re already calling the new album by this Athens trio as one of our most anticipated records of next year.
The band is prepping the follow-up of their 2008 booming rock record, Mission Control early next year with In The Dark. An album that we’re sure will give us some of the band’s big rock, and gritty Southern garage sound. To tease us with some new song, the band will embark on a fall tour where they will debut new material from the imminent release.
They are bringing some pretty heavy hitters on the road with them for support, DLE favorites The Features will join the band on all dates and The Dead Trees and Mean Creek will split the tour as the 3rd act on the bill.
Though a few months out, there’s already new music. The album’s title track is rawkus and gets us all kinds of excited to hear more from them!
