Red Collar

Red Collar, Memorial and Restorations visited New York on their short tour together this past weekend. Red Collar opened the show with their battered and duct-taped guitars that looked like they had seen the abuse of some intense shows. Despite some glitches with guitars and straps breaking, the band pulled through with an impassioned performance.

Restorations was up next. The band consists of 3 members of Philadelphia punk outfit Jena Berlin. This side project was a less aggressive and more melodic version of Jena whom fans of Hot Water Music or No Idea records in general should check out. Memorial closed out the show with their Quicksand style post-hardcore to a good sized crowd. This band needs to tour more often!
